Bloomingdale Student Aces SAT
The high school senior is among only four in Hillsborough to ace the college entrance exam.
Senior Ian Ludden of Bloomingdale High has aced the critical reading and math sections of the SAT pre-college exams.
TBO.com is reporting that four Hillsborough County students received the perfect scores.
- Ian Ludden, a senior at Bloomingdale High
- Haoqing Wang, a junior of King High
- Ana Cheng of Steinbrenner High
- Nathaniel Lee of Steinbrenner High
Judy Pressley, the college and career counselor at Steinbrenner High, told TBO.com: "It is quite an accomplishment. It just doesn't happen much — anywhere," referring to the pair of students who aced the standardized test.
The students earned perfect 1,600 scores on the same two sections of the test. None received a perfect score on the writing portion of the exam.
How rare is the feat? TBO.com reports that only 24 students out of 112,000 in Florida received a perfect score. Out of the 24, only five also had a perfect score on the written portion of the exam.
