5 Places to Watch March Madness in Bloomingdale-Riverview

Good food? Check. Fine beer selection? Check. Multiple TV screens to catch all the action? Check! Here are slam-dunk spots for watching basketball playoffs.

Thursday and Friday often are referred to as the "two greatest days of TV sports."

That's because the NCAA basketball tournament plays dozens of single-elimination basketball games, working its way from 64 to 32 teams (and then down to 16 by the end of the weekend).

Better yet, they're all televised! This means that diehard fans can watch basketball for 12 straight hours each day, on Thursday and Friday.

But where to watch? Comfort is important, so the spot needs to serve fine pub food, offer a selection of beer and boast some big-boy TV screens (and plenty of them to catch multiple games in progress).

Also choosing a spot close to home makes everything much more convenient, with no traffic or hassle.

Here are some prime choices for Bloomingdale-Riverview fans:

1.) Beef O'Brady's, multiple locations, Bloomingdale and Riverview: Hoops fans cannot live on beer alone. That's why there are sports bars like Beef
O'Brady's, which serves full menus along with pitchers of beer. There's
even a play area for kids, so you can bring the family here.
2.) Mulligans, 11375 Big Bend Rd., Riverview: Get your Irish on and watch some hoops at the same time at this neighborhood pub, where the good times and beer flows.
3.) J.F. Kicks, 3345 Lithia Pinecrest Rd, Valrico: A Valrico
institution, J.F. Kicks has both indoor and outdoor lounge areas, with
plenty of TVs and a full menu to choose from.
4.) Dingo's Sports Lounge, 3112 State Road 60 E, Valrico: A
neighborhood sports bar. In addition to TV watching, there are pool tables and smoking permitted.
5.) Buffalo Wild Wings, two locations, Riverview: Built from
the ground up for watching sports, Buffalo Wild Wings offers the complete sports viewing experience: big screen TVs, chicken wings and beer.
