The Summerfield Elementary School PTA is asking for the help of local businesses to build a new physical education covered court. Currently, the school does not have a structure to protect students from the elements. The goal is to raise $60,000. This includes equipment and installation of the covered structure.

On Feb. 15, the PTA will host its second annual dance and raffle to help raise funds.

The PTA is seeking the following items for the event:

• Hot dogs, hot dog buns, hot dog condiments, chips and soda
• Gift cards, merchandise and certificates of service to raffle
• Monetary donations, which are tax-deductible
